Bad Herrenalb

With a little difficulty, we found the Treff Hotel I had booked on the Internet, which was a little up-hill, then explored the place, stopping soon for coffee, with cake for Avis in the Café König for E7.60

From our hotel

The Old Town Hall

The Kurhaus

Hotel Post across the gardens

Day Two - Through the Black Forest to Bonndorf

Breakfast was vast. Arnold's Wallies were leaving before we went down. The bill was E73.40, cheaper than the Gladstone we use in Liverpool, for example.

Bad Wildbad

This place turned out to be very interesting, as it is an active spa, with kliniks for just about everything. The railway runs down the middle of the street by the river (it comes from Pfortzheim) like a tram. The old town proper is pedestrianised & we stopped for cappuccini (E4.80) at the Café Bechtle.

Along the river bank

Central Square

The Guest Centre

Trams & cars mixed up

On to Freudenstadt (next page).
