From Catherine Lang's genealogy:

On April 25, 1888, Seth Charles Force married Mollie Lavelle. He was 35 and she was 27. They had eight children. Two died in infancy: William and Gail. Surviving to maturity and beyond were Hazel, Gertrude, Catherine, Emma, Charles and Dorthy.
Seth and Mollie Force lived and farmed the Force farm, Seth buying and adding to its acreage until it was three hundred acres. It was Mollie LaVelle Force's great ambition that all her children should have a good education and early she strove with great effort and determination towards this end. The five girls attended Indiana University, four of them graduating with degrees and three going onto higher degrees. Charles attended and graduated from Purdue University.
