PARTY TIME, NOT ALL OURS

At our now traditional New Year’s Party, we entertained Barbara Keene, Stuart & Maria the Czech, Philip & Tsugi Carver & Vicky Wisher. We had another small party in June but then, Derek Hill astonished us by announcing that he was having an 80th birthday party on July 28th. Many interesting people, a characteristic of every party this year. We had another party in August.

Left: Donald Hoodless, the 1st of Ken's Isleworth Grammar School "Class of 1954" circle to reach 60 on October 14th, brought David Blunkett, the Home Secretary, along to do the speech at his splendid party. David had once wanted Don to clean out the Augean Stables of the then Sheffield Housing Department but Don could see a labour of Sisyphus when confronted with it.
