Business column

Not the usual one, because nothing startling happened, except that someone stole our truck & it is difficult to write anything exciting about managing a bunch of flats, so we have dedicated this year's column to all the useful & helpful business people here we could not do without.

Right: Pride of place goes to Carole & Claire, of Capital Lettings, our agents (not forgetting Nicola, not here, who had a baby this year & handles the money with Scottish efficiency).

David our auditor of Mackenzie Field,
who helped us set up ASL 13 years ago.

Tina of the Co-op Bank infallably sorts out
problems with the Ken & ASL accounts.

Funki (pronounced Foonkay) knows where Sainsburys
have hidden it this time.

Hussein & Carlton of Discovery Info Systems
keep us in computer bits off the shelf.

Philip, boss of Real Holidays is full of ideas & has taken a fortune off us
in the twelve years we have been in Islington.

John of Angel Books orders books in double-quick time, as if we needed another book (to add to the 3,000 on the walls).

Charles of Hanway Print, prints the Xmas cards
& calling cards for us.

Keith, Mary & Alex. Really 'extended family'
but they also store our back-up discs.

Missing are photos we do not have of Mr Patel, our newsagent &
Michael Palmer, our lawyer, fortunately not much needed these days.
