Baldry Family Trees - Data from Amanda Baldry

Amanda Baldry Brock's raw data

From: Amanda Brock

Researching Baldrys and having come across your website I thought you might like the following information. You have a section for Baldrys of unknown provenence. One, an A Baldry, son of William and Rebecca and the second, Albert, son of Henry and Amelia. Both A Baldrys’ were casualites of war. Seeing as I have access to some of the census records I thought I’d look them up. The information is below. I hope it can help someone. Amanda Brock (nee Baldry)

This is for the first A Baldry otherwise known as Arthur;

My own family:-

I have checked the census records for 1851 and this is the only one I found that is likely be my *GEORGE, b. 1843. I believe George sr’s wife is Sarah.

I have done other research and checked the IGI records on the familysearch site and it is possible that George sr’s father is Joseph from Thelnetham, Suffolk. Joseph moved to Norfolk and had children born in Griston. If the IGI records are correct it shows Joseph’s father as Joseph and then his father as John. I know this is pure speculation but I wonder at the relationship as it shows that John Baldry married Dorothy Garwood and my George (b. 1843) had a daughter Agnes who married Alfred Garwood of Suffolk.
I have not been able to access the 1861 nor the 1841 census for Norfolk.

GEORGE Baldry was born 1843 in Griston, Norfolk, England (1851 1881 1891 1901 census), and died after 1901.
He married:
(1) SARAH Lake, daughter of ROBERT Lake and Christianna (1851 census) (IGI). She was born in 1842 in Freethorpe, Norfolk and died Jun 1875 (Dist Wayland, Norfolk V. 4b p 192) (age 33). (I haven’t ordered the certificate yet).
(2) Ann Tubby Waters Mar 1876 in Dist. Lodden, County Norfolk, V. 4b, p. 307. She was born 1852 in Thompson, Norfolk, England (1881 1891 1901 census).
