Drizzling as we came into Bergen, the town with 400 days of rain per year. After breakfast, limited in my case by skipping the cooked course, we walked into Town, first along a dull quay but then, by the old Hanseatic houses which are now shops of varying degrees of trendiness.

A side street

Note the parking cops!

We found a wool shop which had a rubbish shop attached, in which we found Norwegian dolls for the grand-daughters but still, no Sami dolls. The rain stopped & the Sun came out. We found an enchanting old street by the funicular station.

Near the funicular

Then, we took the train up the hill for the huge views but the Sun went back in & stayed there. To our annoyance, we should have been offered oldies tickets but paid the full price & the girl would not refund it.

The Funicular

Our boat from the top

Panorama from the Bergstation

Down in the town, the drizzle started again. We walked round & called at the fish market (below) on the way back to the boat & the, I think, crank (macrobiotic) food market in front of the Hanseatic houses.
