St Petersburg - The Menshikov Palace

Next day, I escorted a tour to the Menshikov & Yusupov Palaces. Menshikov was variously, a favorite of Peter the Great's or in the dog house, for failing to complete projects on time, although by & large, Peter could not do without him, being short of educated & mostly competent ministers who shared his modernist outlook.
