This is one of the places visited on the Chamonix-Zermatt tour the way I did it. It is in the Val d'Anniviers in the Canton Valais, which runs South of Sierre in the Rhone Valley & can be reached by bus from Sierre or walk on the links.

As can be seen, it has a lot of well-preserved old buildings. I stayed in the very comfortable Hotel Cristal. This link is to the village's own web site in English. Despite the Germanic name, they speak French here.
