Dominic's original notes about his Baldry family

William BALDRY (c1760 of Thwaite St. Mary By Loddon - 1838)

Written on July 14th 2001:-

My connection with the surname comes from my 4x great-grandmother Hannah BURGESS formerly GOULTY nee BALDRY (1819 - 1910). She was the 4th born child of William (1789 - 1855) and Letitia BALDRY nee GOODRUM (1790 - 1864). They married in Seething. Overall they had eleven children: Valentine (1814 - 1861) = Eliza BURROWS, named after his maternal grandfather, John (1816 - 1859) = Mary Ann OLLEY, William (1818 - 1818), Hannah, Robert (1821 - 1896) = Rachel SPARKS, lived in Kirby Cane most of his life, William 2 (1823 - 1823), Letitia (1824 - ?) = William FORDER, may have emigrated, William 3 (1825 - ?), George (1828 - 1828), George 2 (1829 - 1861) = Sarah Ann BLAZA and James (1832 - 1833). They were all baptised in Seething, Norfolk.

William senior was the 4th(?) child of William (? - 1838) and Mary BALDRY nee PELLS (1758? - 1830). They married in Thwaite St Mary in 1781. Their children were: John (1782 - 1817), his gravestone is still visible next to Seething graveyard gate, he did not marry, Robert (1783 - ?) Mary (1785 - 1856) = James WHURR, William, Ann (1792 - 1871) = Samuel Johnson and Elizabeth (1797 - 1879) = Samuel SMITH. They were baptised in places such as Mundham, Ditchingham and Thwaite St Mary. My leads then go dry at the William and Mary stage. If anyone could assist me in finding their baptisms or have any information on any of the people mentioned above, please do not hesitate to contact me.
