WOOLF/WOLF of Frankfurt am Main

Daniel & Elizabeth WOLF/WOOLF came to the UK in 1877 from Frankfurt am Main. They brought their baby son WILHELM CARL WOOLF- (William Charles) -my Great Grandfather. They lived at 115 Leman Street in 1881 . They had more children here (Louis 1879, Helene 1881, Charles 1888. By 1896 Daniel had died (aged 56) leaving his 18-year-old son William as head of the family. Both father & son were tailors. Wilhelm my great grandfather-still living in Leman Street at number 48 on the 1891 census. By this time they had changed their name to WOLF. Are there any fellow WOLF/WOOLF researchers/ connections, please?

Wilhelm married Helene EBERSPACHER (my Great Grandmother) at the German Lutheran church St George's Alie Street in August 1906. William died in March 1951 and there is a wall-mounted plaque in St George's church in his memory. This was my inspiration to search my family origins & find out more about him and his ancestors. I have Wilhelm Birth certificate of 1877 from Frankfurt but as yet have not managed to have it translated.

Anyone else with a WOLF family from Frankfurt am Main?

EBERSPACHERs of Esslingen Wurttemberg

My great grandfather William WOLF married Helene Pauline EBERSPACHER in 1906 at St George's German Lutheran church in Alie Street. Helene was the daughter of Carl Friedrich EBERSPACHER (cabinet maker) & Marie Charlotte (formerly RICHTER). They came to England around 1879 (?) with their eldest daughter Mathilde (b 1873 in 'Germany'). In 1877 their son Wilhelm Christian C. F. was born in Middlesex. Then followed their son Emil Adolph born in Lambeth January 1881 - both christened at the German church in Camberwell. Then Helene b 1882, Katharine 1884 and Lucie Gertrude in 1885 (all in Islington). They were baptized at St George's Whitechapel. Helen married William Wolf in 1906 at St George's. William was a tailor. They lived in Clifton Street (near Liverpool Street Station) from 1907 to around 1933 & then moved to Sun Street, Finsbury Square by 1936.

Carl Friedrich had a brother Christian Jacob Eberspacher. He was living with his brother Carl in Eastlake Road Cold Harbour Lane Lambeth in 1881 (transcribed as EBERSFACHAR).

Christian married a Veronika Blanka FOLL between 1881 & 1888 and had a son Arthur in 1888.Then followed a sister Louisa Catharine 1890,Bertha Elizabeth 1893, and Elizabeth Martha in 1896 (all baptized at St George's Church, Whitechapel but registered in the Edmonton District). Christian a 'Kaufman' died in 1903 in the German hospital Dalston aged 56. His brother Carl (Charles died aged 76 in 1926).

The EBERSPACHER family at some point changed their name to EBERS

Anybody researching Eberspachers in Esslingen and recognize this family?

Emil Eberspacher & Anna Siegel's wedding 1905

Anna (b in Whitechapel UK 1883) had siblings Otto B 1874 (in Berlin), Ema (b Berlin 1876), - Adolf Gustav 'GUS ' SIEGEL (b Middlesex 1879), Paul Andreas SIEGEL (b Middlesex 1881). Arthur SIEGEL (birth date unknown), and Martha (b 1886), and Elisabeth (b 1885). Their address in 1881 was 14 Everards Place, Whitechapel London, Middlesex. Adolf the father was born in Magdeburg and wife Albertine (nee HEMPEL) was born in Garzd/Oder.
