Cavtat is South of Dubrovnik on this link

Sunday 27th October

Cavtat harbour

In the morning, we went to Cavtat on a coach & idled around for a couple of hours in this enchanting spot, although we did walk round the peninsular there. This is a ploy to avoid Dubrovnik in the morning when there are several of those giant cruise ships I call "troop ships" in the harbour. The cafés would not take Euros, which did not stop Avis using one of their loos but the ice cream man gave huge cornets for a euro a piece. The Croatian Government are out of their minds trying to stop traders taking euros, especially as they have just (July) joined the EU.
