Marsaxlokk is a fishing port South of Valletta

From the new lift stairs

Presidental Palace

After lunch, we walked to the new lift up to the Baracca Gardens but Avis was tired & went back. The queue was so long, because an American Celebrity ship (the Silhouette - one of the giants I call 'troop ships') had come in, so I walked up the 470 steps & found the Greek Prime Minister visiting the President. The rebuilding of the Main Gate, which was under way in 2011, has still not been finished. I walked back to the ship with half an hour to spare. There was a sail away party on the aft deck.
